Lake Hollywood Walk
As a native Californian, I am getting on my FAB California Bucket List ASAP! I hope you’ll enjoy coming along. I know there will be lots of beautiful scenery and even more fun to be had.
Yesterday, Devon and I took our first walk up in the Hollywood Hills to Lake Hollywood. We went with my friend Claudia who has done the walk many times and arrived around 2pm. The parking was pretty easy. We found a spot at the bottom of a steep hill which made the walk back much easier.
As we began our walk, we found the first half mile rather to be rather desolate, and the lake is surrounded by a 20 ft high chain link fence topped with barbed wire. Devon fondly called it the “Prison Walk.” But once you get to the Art Deco style dam, the rest of the lake is Fabulously stunning! On our crystal clear day, at the end of the dam, one can see a beautifully Fab view of Hollywood. Also from the dam is a gorgeous view of the Hollywood sign. You can also see turtles, ducks and other birds warming their wings and frolicking in the lake. Serenity now!!
Choose a Fab friend and take a hike!
