Il Fornaio – Pasadena

After our day at the Rose Bowl Flea Market, we decided we were in need of some refreshing libations and nourishment and booked a last minute rsvp thru Open Table at one of Gretchen’s favorite spots, Il Fornaio in Old Town Pasadena.  While it was a beautiful day out, we opted to dine inside to stay cool.  It’s a beautiful restaurant with an open kitchen and long bar.

We were greeted by our waiter and quickly ordered a pinot grigio for Gretchen, and their lemonade cocktail for me, and then we decided to share one of the lunch specials: Burrata Salad, and one of their menu items: Insalata di Pollo dal Girarrosto (mixed green salad with rotisserie chicken and bacon).  We both enjoyed each dish until Gretchen bit into a small chicken bone that was mistakenly left in the salad.  They quickly apologized and removed it from the bill.

All in all, we enjoyed our dine there and in spite of Gretchen’s aching tooth, we will return.
